To instill patriotism and loyalty to the beloved Monarch, various parties in the country held the National Flag Hoisting Ceremony. Mukim Penghulus and Village Heads under Mukim Gadong 'A' and Gadong 'B' also held a similar event. The ceremony in conjunction with His Majesty's 80th Birthday Celebration for Zone 1 took place at the Kampung Kiarong parking area.

Present was Yang Berhormat Awang Mohammad Ali bin Tanjong, Member of the Legislative Council. It ran concurrently with the presentation of flags to selected village residents.

Meanwhile, the Flag Hoisting Ceremony for Zone 3 was also held by the Mukim Serasa Consultative Council in collaboration with Meragang Sixth Form Centre. In attendance were Yang Berhormat Awang Lawi bin Haji Lamat and Yang Berhormat Awang Haji Daud bin Jihan, Members of the Legislative Council. It took place at Meragang Sixth Form Centre.

A similar event was also organised by Mukim Pengkalan Batu for Zone 5. Among those present was Yang Berhormat Awang Zainol bin Haji Mohammad, Member of the Legislative Council.

For Zone four, the event took place at Lumapas Religious School. It was organised by the Kampung Lumapas 'A' Village Consultative Council. The national flag was handed over by Pengiran Muhammad Ameer Mubaraak bin Pengiran Haji Hashim, Acting Brunei Muara District Officer to be hoisted by the participants.

In Belait District, the Flag Hoisting Ceremony was conducted by the Mukim Bukit Sawat Consultative Council. In attendance were Yang Berhormat Awang Haji Md Salleh bin Haji Othman and Yang Berhormat Awang Mohammad bin Abdullah @ LIM SWEE ANN, Members of the Legislative Council. It took place at the Multi-purpose Hall of Kampung Merangking, Mukim Bukit Sawat.
